Edge Vision services the escalating Audio Visual (AV) requirements of Standard Bank over a period of five years

Delivering a range of services from business TV provision, through new meeting room and boardroom technology design and build, to executive broadcasting system implementation

Edge Vision has been delivering on the AV requirements of Standard Bank for over five years.  The relationship began when Standard Bank called upon Edge Vision to provision the distribution of further external, financial TV channels to its staff that continues to satisfied its global thirst for staying in touch with breaking market news via receipt of broadcast information. 

This initial contract was successfully completed and Edge Vision was then invited to specify and deliver the company’s technology in its boardroom.  Here Edge Vision qualified the need for AV technologies before specifying and designing the implementation, installing the equipment, testing and ultimately supporting the technology. 

The boardroom requirement included a 60” plasma screen to support TV distribution, video conferencing sessions, Powerpoint display for meetings, file collaboration on calls (voice and video), DVD sharing and the ability to pull files and images across the corporate network.  The technology employed is activated via user friendly touch panel controls and the hardware is disguised using custom-made cabinets that blend perfectly with the other boardroom furniture.  The result is a functionally rich boardroom environment that is immaculate and entirely fit for all purposes. 

Having completed this project, Edge Vision was once again called upon to assist Standard Bank as it grew out of its current and into its new office accommodation – expanding into neighbouring offices within the same building.  This involved the provisioning of several more meeting rooms that needed a combination of fixed and integrated AV meeting points to enable rudimentary Powerpoint and video conferencing functionality. 

Standard Bank was keen to maximise its meeting facilities and Edge Vision was able to partition the space to enable either a single large meeting or several concurrent meetings to take place at any particular time.  This meant carefully arranging the AV components (microphones, screens, speakers, etc) to ensure that no matter the configuration, the sound and visual quality of the AV was always of the highest possible quality.
